At Smart Kids Pre School & Day Care, we believe that developing strong communication skills from an early age helps children become confident, expressive and enthusiastic learners. Our Pre School Elocution Programme is designed especially for young children, beginning from the Nursery level, and provides a fun, friendly and structured environment where children can develop their English language and communication abilities through practical and enjoyable activities.
The programme combines Speech, Writing, Vocabulary, Poems, Drama, Language and Grammar, giving children opportunities to learn English not only through lessons, but also through speaking, performing and expressing themselves.
What Children Learn
Throughout the programme, children are guided to gradually develop their language and communication abilities through a variety of age-appropriate activities.
Speech & Spoken English
Children are encouraged to speak clearly and confidently, express their ideas and communicate with others using appropriate English.
Writing Skills
Age-appropriate writing activities help children develop their early written English skills, sentence formation and confidence in expressing ideas through writing.
Vocabulary Development
Children are introduced to new words and encouraged to understand and use them appropriately in everyday communication.
Poems & Rhymes
Poems and rhymes help children improve pronunciation, rhythm, memory, expression and confidence while making language learning enjoyable.
Drama & Role Play
Through drama, role play and performance activities, children learn to express emotions, use language naturally and communicate confidently in front of others.
Language & Grammar
The programme introduces children to essential language and grammar concepts according to their age and learning level, creating a strong foundation for future English education.
A Fun & Friendly Learning Environment
Young children learn best when they feel comfortable, encouraged and involved. Our Elocution classes are conducted in a friendly, playful and child-centred environment, where children are encouraged to participate without fear of making mistakes. Our experienced and qualified teaching staff guide each child according to their individual age, ability and level of development. The focus is not only on examination results, but also on helping children develop skills that they can use throughout their education and everyday life.
Annual Elocution Examination
An important part of the programme is the Annual Elocution Examination. The examination is conducted once a year and includes both:
Spoken Examination
Children have the opportunity to demonstrate their speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary, confidence, memory and communication skills.
Written Examination
The written examination assesses age-appropriate language, writing, vocabulary and grammar skills developed throughout the year.
The examinations are conducted and assessed by foreign examiners, giving students an opportunity to experience an externally assessed examination environment.
Recognition & Awards
We believe every child's effort deserves encouragement and recognition. Students who successfully complete the examination will receive an Official Certificate in recognition of their achievement. The student who achieves the highest overall mark will receive a Special Trophy at our Annual Awards Ceremony. These achievements provide children with a sense of accomplishment and encourage them to continue developing their language and communication skills.
